Growing in faith

Have you ever been at a proverbial fork in the road? At a place where you realize that it’s either sink or swim, and making the choice between who you’ve been and who you want to be is no longer optional? It’s exciting and yet excruciating at the same time. Well today, we’re going to help each other to continue growing in faith by taking that leap!

This could be work related or it could be in the romance department, but growth is never easy and change is guaranteed to be uncomfortable. It’s almost as if you’re in an inner battle between soul and spirit; fear and courage; complacency or destiny…. So, what are you going to let win? How will you live with yourself if you don’t fight to the death — of everything holding you back.

This is where you get to see exactly what you’re made of. To begin growing in faith, you’ve got to challenge yourself to do the hard thing, whatever that is. And, we’ve got a few ways for you to do that.

First, you must believe God will always be with you.

Growing in faith becomes a little easier when you remember that God is with you. In fact, He’s living inside of you right now, guiding you and leading you into His will for your life. Sometimes when we have big decisions to make we can feel alone or worry about making the wrong choice. And that fear tends to cripple us. But listen family, not making a choice is always the WRONG choice.

Proverbs 3:5-6 assures us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all thy ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” So, rest in the fact that God will be an ever-present help to you. As you stay in tune with His voice and continue to be spirit-led, you can expect His divine faithfulness.

Second, you must believe that God will provide.

It’s important to remember that God supplies all of our needs. So, even if you make a mistake, God is big enough to get you right back on track and give you wisdom in a place of error. God not only provides you with food and shelter, but He will provide you will counselors, resources, opportunities, and strength to accomplish whatever you set out to do!

Additionally, God will provide you with comfort, peace, wisdom, and the grace you need while on this journey. When you walk with Him, you can walk in confidence! Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Let this ease your mind when you get ready to take that leap.

Lastly, God will reward your faith.

God has always been a rewarder of faith because it requires the closeness that He desires to have with us. When you are intentional about growing in faith, God will bless you and protect you for trusting and depending on Him. Hebrews 11:6 says, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

Listen, your journey to purpose doesn’t have to be nerve-wrecking! You should now be able to walk boldly, understanding that God is with you, providing for you, and rewarding you for your faith in Him! So, go ahead and take that leap!
